Claire grew up on a small farm in Berry and enjoyed taking her horses to pony club and dressage competitions.

After finishing high school, she relocated to the Hunter Valley to work at Arrowfield Stud to further her passion for horses. From there, Claire traveled to Kentucky, USA, where she first worked at one of Godolphin’s thoroughbred studs as a foaling assistant and then as a veterinary technician at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Claire returned to Australia to complete her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons I) at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.

She has particular interests in the areas of equine internal medicine, metabolic disease, reproduction, and sports medicine.

Claire is excited to be living back in her hometown and working at Illawarra Equine Centre.  She is looking forward to meeting our clients and their horses and ponies.
