Nikita was born in NZ and grew up there and on the Gold Coast. She has had a passion for Vet science from a very early age, and has always had a particular interest in equine, especially thoroughbreds.

 

Throughout her studies, and to gain experience with racing and the thoroughbred industry Nikita has been involved in a variety of externships and studies overseas, including Hong Kong, New Zealand and Kentucky.

 

Nikita joined the Illawarra Equine Centre practice in 2019 and brings with her a particular passion for racing, sales and the foal to yearling stage, however enjoys all aspects of her equine veterinary work. She also trains and competes in difficult Stockmans Challenges with her two Australian stockhorses.

In her spare time Nikita is busy travelling, surfing, snowboarding, and training the horses and her border collie “Shep”.  Having spent some time living on the NSW South Coast previously, she is very much enjoying life around Gerringong and getting to know our clients in the region.
