Illawarra Equine Centre works closely with many of Illawarra’s top racehorse trainers and owners, to ensure their horses are in the best possible health in order to achieve a successful career on the racetrack.

Our vets work on site at Kembla Grange Racecourse each morning to assess and provide immediate care to the horses in training. Trials and race days also make up a large part of our commitment to the racing industry.

One of our veterinary team is always present at barrier trials and race days to examine and treat horses as required as well as assess their fitness for racing. Illawarra Equine Centre supports and encourages the fair and equitable treatment of all racehorses, with their health and welfare being our top priority.
